Snow Day!

This is when it all started last night, right about superbowl kickoff time.

This morning we were greeted by this scene in our courtyard.

Dressed for success.

The view across the street from our building.

Down the street.

Not a common sight in London.

This is Russell Park, just down the street.

Very few cabs are actually running.

Our tube station.

The park across the street.

So it's snowing right now in London. Not so extraordinary except for the fact that the city is paralyzed. About an hour ago our mayor, Mr. Boris Johnson made an announcement that if you are in the city, stay put and don't attempt to go anywhere except by foot. The tube is only running very few trains. The overground is completely out of service as are all busses. It hasn't snowed like this in almost 20 years so they have no real infrastructure to deal with it. Hope you are not as cold as we are, and enjoy the pics.

Damn, you weren't kidding! That's a lot of snow to be falling near sea level...
